I am a kid of character, searching in the darkness, running from the day

I’m proud to be good, hiding from tomorrow, nothing left to say

I make a difference, victim of the moment, future deep in doubt.

In my neighborhood, living in a whisper till we start to shout

I value life, breathing in the madness, spitting out the lies

Both yours and mine, searching for an answer, keep your alibis

I do my part, we’re creatures of the night,

So I feel fine, we’re creatures of the night.

I can look you in the eye, don’t know where we’re goin’, just know where we’ve been

And hold my head up high, searching in the darkness, running from the day

And smile in the warmth of the sun, hiding from tomorrow, nothing left to say

I do what I should, remember when the clock strikes twelve, the losers always win

It’s nice to be understood, howling in the shadows, till we start to bite

I am a kid of character, gathering up my courage, ready for the fight

We’re proud to be good, we’re creatures of the night!
